Changing Family Relationships

I have made extensive use of the Sim Manipulator since downloading it some 18 months ago. Thanks very much for creating it.

One thing I often use for is to break up or change "families" I create in CAS, to make them into townies or more unusual families. For this I often use the Family Relationships option. Unfortunately one thing I can't do in the Sim Manipulator, is to make two Sims into Siblings. I have to do it in SimPE and there are several steps to it. Might it be possible to add a "Relationships...  Family Relationships...  Set as My Sibling..." option to a future release?

It would also be helpful if when I choose "Relationships...  Family Relationships...  Set No Relation...", it could clear the Family tags. At present I have to quit the game and go into SimPE to clear them.

I do remember when I originally was developing the Sim Manipulator that I tried to do that, But I had difficulty with it working properly. It's been awhile since I last tried, I have learned quite a lot about TS2 since I last tried to do that. I will look into adding that back in.

Hmm that's sounds like a quirk in the Sim Manipulator, It should be clearing all family relations. I will look into fixing that.

Ok, I have tried to replicate Your issue with the No Relation option, But have had no luck so far. For me the family flag is properly being cleared. I'll certainly will look over the code to see if anything is amiss. Also when You were trying to clear the family relation, What was their original family relation(child, parent, grandparent, ETC)?

That's interesting. I was trying to create a group of unrelated teens to turn them into townies. But in CAS I have to make one an adult, and the parent of all the others. I move them into a special small lot where I age the adult down to a teen and set them all to "No Relation". So the teens would all have child/parent relationships with the original adult, and sibling relationships amongst themselves. I find the Sim Manipulator doesn't clear the Family tags from the SRELs, and I have to do that manually in SimPE.

My highest EP is OFB, and I'm running the version of the OFB game engine that comes with the Celebration Stuff Pack (v1.8.0.80). I suppose that might make a difference. Alternatively I suppose it might be a CC clash, but the HCDU gives me a clean report.
