Down Townie Templates Be Gone

With this mod installed new Down Townies created will no longer use the Down Townie templates and instead will be created from CAS's templates(like normal Townies are created). Existing Down Townies will not be affected by this mod.

Requires the Night Life expansion, But is compatible with newer expansions and stuff packs.

Install to My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads, If using Windows XP or older. For Windows Vista and 7 install to User Name\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads.

I am one of those nutty people who prefers letting the game do its own auto-generating when it comes to new Townies & such (I prefer the element of surprise instead of making everyone by hand in CAS) & that darned "triplet effect" for the Downtownies was driving me bonkers!

Now I can finally add a downtown. I've simply avoided adding a downtown since my game reinstall two years ago. That's how much I hate those Maxis 'lovelies!'

Maybe I can poke around in this and in the no-regen mod and figure out how to generate exactly one of the Dormies....

Good luck with that. Though Dormies are generated from a different piece of script(BHAV) then this mod, My bet would be you could find it by looking at the no regen mods. Anther thing to remember is the game considers Dormies to be Townies, It just looks in the Townie family and finds all Young Adults.

Whoops, brainfart, I meant to generate exactly one of the 33 Downtownies (not Dormies).

I am not sure if that is possible, Mostly because of how the game looks for them. Each template has a Property Set with an instance number of 1. And as far I can tell the game looks for that specific instance number when looking for templates, Unfortunately the code that decides which template to use may be buried too deep in the game to alter(possibly buried in the exe).
